Before heading to a date night Office Trivia and Painting class in downtown Aberdeen, we decided to grab dinner at a place I’ve heard many in town rave about: Pounders.
Even when we arrived just before 5pm, the parking lot was nearly full and every table had just been filled. Since we were in a bit of a time crunch, we opted to sit at the bar as the full menu is available there. Pounders runs some daily specials, but since we were there on a Saturday and aren’t fans of Bloody Mary’s we didn’t opt to use that day’s special.
We ordered as quickly as we could since we were in a bit of a rush for time. I decided to get The Hot One from the burger board sans jalapenos. It was a Cajun spiced burger topped with pepper jack cheese and hot sauce. It also came with a side of tots. As you can see, it was more than enough food and I actually took half of it home!
I can’t recall the name of Andrew’s meal as it was a special seasonal item. It was a burger between two grilled cheeses as the bun. I believe there was also some bacon involved. He opted for waffle fries as a side and again had leftovers to take home!
We both really enjoyed our meals and will certainly be returning in the future! However, next time we plan to arrive earlier or just allot ourselves more time since we wound up eating on the run to make it to our trivia night on time!
