Garden Glow at the Missouri Botanical Gardens ~ St. Louis, MO

Hey there! I’ve been absent the last week as it was spring break for both Andrew and I and we had a staycation visiting a few sites and restaurants around the city before we find out where we will be moving at the end of April and move sometime this summer. But have no fear! I have plenty to catch up on still from this year to add to this blog, and even more after last week!

One of my favorite places to visit in the city is the Missouri Botanical Garden. It’s always lovely to stroll through in the spring and summer when everything is in bloom, but it really can be beautiful any time of year. It’s fairly inexpensive to get in (I think $8, but we always get in for the county resident price.) They also host various special events in the evening throughout the year, and my favorite is the Garden Glow that they have during the Christmas season. The Garden Glow has it’s own separate admission price. You can purchase tickets in advance. When you do so, you chose the time and date you would like to come. This helps ease up on the size of crowds that are there at one time for the event.

This year after entering the garden area, the path for the glow started to the right. They have very clear signs detailing the correct way to follow the glow. As for what it looks like, I’ll let the pictures I took to the talking!

The last fountain area is always super neat because they have the lights set to music. I also love the golden light lit waterfall. They have the water cleared out for the cold winter, but I love the way it looks with all the lights.

I highly recommend visiting the garden anytime of year, but it’s especially fun during the Garden Glow.
